Keysearch Difficulty software Find Profitable Niches Low Competition Keywords

Having an online website online really doesn’t mean much if you are unable generate traffic to the site. A common method used to direct your readers from your blogs is to use the search-engines. If you have mastered keyword research, you could find a way to drive lots of “free” traffic in this way.

For this reason, Keyword Research software today is an essential SEO tool that all website owners should be using. The main drawback about these handy tools has to do with the price tag. It is quite costly and ongoing expense for big and small businesses that you need to keep under control. If you are only a beginner, it might become a struggle that you will be forced to face.

Below you will find my review about Keysearch. It is an efficient keyword-research tool which I highly recommend. If you are in search of an easy-to-use and affordable SEO tool that is able to offer features on a professional level, Keysearch is the answer for you.

To summarize this tool, there are two essential points about Keysearch.

  • The first, is the pricing-tiers which are fairly affordable, which means you can start straight away.
  •  The second has to do with this tool having a host of professional features. With this software, you should quickly and accurately be able to find profitable niches and low competition keywords.

Carry on reading if you would like to find out more details associated with Keysearch’s tutorials and features as followed.

The Keyword Research Crash Course

If you have a website with a high authority such as LifeHacker, Techcruch, Mashable, etc. Then you have not much left to be concerned about except that you continue to publish quality articles. The search engines will most likely position your blog posts on the front pages of the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), which will be followed by a constant flow of traffic.

Yet for the smaller websites, we typically have authority that is lower according to the search-engines. This means we need to take a preliminary step before we jump into writing and then publishing our articles online. This first and most important step has to do with the keyword-research process.

The goal behind conducting keyword research is to locate sets of keywords that will ensure your website is ranked on the first pages of the SERPs.

According to Searchenginepeople, around 60% of the clicks are directed to the top 3 websites in a search engine result. For this reason, it is not worth your time or efforts to try and use keywords that are more difficult to rank as there is very little chances for you to get on top with this approach. Your time will be spent more wisely searching for low-competition keywords where it can result in your site rising above your competitors.

Basically, if you have information about the foundations of keyword research, you can conduct these tasks manually. Which means you won’t need the help of any tools. Yet it would take you a very long time to complete these tasks manually. This is the reason why SEO tools that assist you in calculating KD (Keyword Difficulty), can come in handy. If you have one or more websites, you can’t afford to live without KD software.

Keyword Difficulty (KD) is an equation that is calculated from hundreds of metrics. Yet it is subdivided into two categories which include off-page and on-page factors.

On-page SEO is when you are in control. You are able to optimize just almost all these factors because they are in your own article or page.

Optimizing your on-page SEO involves writing content of quality to satisfy search-engine bots and your readers. Use of the right title tag, meta tags and implementing a URL that is SEO-friendly in your links, along with implementing the correct keyword density amounts will assist your posts in higher rankings because you have followed rules that the bots prefer. Making sure you also have the correct image-alt text and making sure your site loads fast will also assist in boosting these overall factors.

There are hundred factors that need to be calculated in these processes. However, the one thing you need to stay focused on has to do with that on-page SEO is essential and you will need to master this to a certain degree. Once you have found an easy to rank  keyword during the processes, you focus on on-page SEO on its own will assist you in achieving your goals efficiently, which means you can achieve rankings on the first-page results.

This is when a Keysearch app can assist you greatly. It will assist you with calculating KD (Keyword Difficulty) at lightning speeds and assist you in your decision on which keywords you should be after. Keep in mind that we also use these tools to find ideas for profitable niches and low-competition keywords.

Off-page SEO is an entirely different beast. Once you have published your own optimized on-page article, it is an article of quality according to your judgement. But it is only once others have said or shown the signs that the article is actually good, it becomes a fact that is proven that the article is worthwhile for associated communities to read and look at. In this way the article starts to attract more weight in the search-engine bots eyes and the post will rank higher.

Off-page SEO is described as the referral approach we often see in real-life society. Yet when considering the digital signals, you will see these type of referrals as back links, guest-post out-reach, influencer marketing, social-media engagement, and more.

Off-page SEO is reliant on the behavior of other people. We are unable to force trustworthy identities to link back or promote our articles. For this reason, it is more complex than on-page SEO, and will take investment and time to engage in such things. There is also no guarantee that you will be successful with your off-page approach when your on-page factors happen to be weak.

If you have already implemented quality on-page factors, then off-page are the following steps you will need to take to ensure your site gains more exposure and a domain authority that is stronger.

Keyword Research Foundation

When conducting your keyword research, it begins with brainstorming to come up with a variety of related keywords. From here, you can place your list of targeted keywords into the KD software.

I personally make use of 3 primary methods to conduct the process of keyword brainstorming.

  1. The Seed Keyword Method. This is a straightforward and simple method. When you already have an idea of any niche in mind, the main keywords that you think about first is a great place to start. This will lead you to 100s maybe even 1,000s of keywords that are related. Avoid making things to complex when you are only starting out. The first 3 to 5 keywords that come to mind is the perfect starting point.
  2. Spying On Your Competitors. This is known as the reversed-engineered approach. Here you will use the same 3 to 5 keyword-phase used in the 1st method. Read over these articles and find out what they happen to be about. Jot down important points that you should be writing about, and then consider any points that are missing that you can then add on, making sure your version is an improvement to the rest.
  3. Find Untouched Niche Markets. The last method involves finding the niche markets that are untouched in the way of searching for the current-trending niches and keywords.

Fortunately, when using the all-in-one SEO tool such as Keysearch, it can handle all of the above-mentioned methods. I will show you how you can do this in the topics that follow.

How to Find Profitable Niches & Low Competition Keywords using Keysearch

I started with the Seed Keyword method where you should have about 3 to 5 keyword phrases. In the example I will show you 1 phrase.

For example, I used the phrase “aerial skills” and typed it into the Keysearch app, where it works on finding the related keywords.

As mentioned before, begin with basic terms, making sure these have a commercial intent (People are in a state of searching for buying items), and not just throwing in any random phrases.

Start by logging into your account and go to the “Keyword Research” tab. Now type in your seed-keyword into the available searching box, and then click on the Keyword Planner option. Keysearch will then pull any data from GKP (Google Keyword Planner) and deliver your results. In the first attempt we received 454 related keywords.

The Keysearch software automatically calculated the seed-keyword and comes up with the number 37 as a competition score which happens to be an easy-to-moderate level. Visual graphics to the left-hand side shows the Google search trend. The trend scores range from 0 to 100 which helps you to see the steadiness of the keyword it is searching for. From the results we can see the seed keyword we used is steady.

How to use Keysearch Review – Step by Step Tutorial

Each of the software options use differing factors in the equations used to calculate the KD (keyword difficulty) score. Yet all should always be based on off-page and on-page factors.

There are a host of keyword-ranking difficulty tools currently available. I have personally found that 3 tools which are able to deliver accurate results include Keysearch, Kwfinder and Long Tail Pro Platinum.

Yet because each use slightly different approaches, it is very common that these 3 top-rated KD tools will deliver very different results. For example, Long Tail Pro Platinum might say the keyword is easy-to-rank while Keysearch might say it is difficult to rank.

You will need to check on off-page and on-page factors manually and then go with your gut to make a decision whether you should be going after it. The best keyword difficulty tool does not exist. The keyword difficulty analysis software is described as useful programs but not a magical answer.

The initial tool I utilized is to allow Keysearch to extract data from GKP. This is a tool that was built for Google’s PPC campaigns. It is the collection of the keywords that Google wants to show to its advertisers. It is limited and not such a great benefit for SEO purposes.

Luckily, Keysearch offers a lot more reliable databases when it comes to related keywords. To date they have this database for suggesting keywords:

  • Keyword Planner
  • Google Suggest
  • Keysearch Database
  • Bing suggest
  • Competitors Keywords
  • Amazon Suggest
  • Google Related Keyword

When using just one seed keyword, you are able to extract data from all these sources. You are then offered with 1,000s of related-keywords. From here you collect all of the possible keywords, making sure to remove the duplicate phrase clicking on the “Check” button on each to check on the keyword difficulty.

Keysearch provides lot of keyword database sources. Youtube bing amazon google suggest

To speed up this process, Keysearch features the “Bulk Check” option for batching a keyword-difficulty checker process. Keep in mind that you will have a quota daily for calculating KD, so try not wasting it on keywords that are unnecessary otherwise you will be forced to wait for 24 hours for the quota to reset.

After experimenting with each of the keywords and databases, I found the keyword phrase that I was interested in. It said, “aerial yoga beginners”.

I then clicked on the “check” button to calculate the KD score. The result was 39 which is an easy-moderate level score. Yet, my gut was telling me this keyword was not that easy as was suggested. I decided to dig a bit deeper.

When looking at the SERP analysis table to the left, you will notice the top ten results on the 1st page. I found a couple of pages with a low authority with very little content featured on their sites. This meant that even though this keyword is not significantly easy. It is possible to be aiming at this keyword.

How To Find Keywords Used By Competitors Using Keysearch

We have now completed the 1st method.

The following step is to find out about your competitors and the keyword sets they use to rank their sites. The ultimate software you can use to spy on competitors is Ahrefs and SEMrush. These are the tools that have massive keyword databases, yet their price tiers are not very pocket-friendly.

Other KD tools do not offer these spying features as it is generally expensive. I personally have been using Long Tail Pro Platinum for a long time, and they do not offer this feature. So, it is a stand out advantage that Keysearch includes this important feature in its tool. Yet it is important to understand that Keysearch’s database is small in comparison to SEMrush or Ahrefs.

To find keywords from your competitors sites, you are just googling targeted keywords. In the following example, I used the phrase “aerial yoga beginners”.

When you conduct your search through Google, make sure you have signed out of your own Google account and clear all the cookies. This will ensure the results are more general, that are not tailored to your preferences.

If you are targeting keywords for the US market yet you are located somewhere else, change your IP address to remove the local results. To change your IP, use the reliable VPN or proxy services.

From here collect the initial 20 results and save these URLs into a spreadsheet.

Now return to your Keysearch dashboard and use the “Explorer” tab. Use the URLs that you have collected and saved followed by clicking on the “Search” button.

Keysearch then checks and analyzing your competitors in seconds. You now have the choice to examine the entire website of just a specific page.

On the left you will notice the “Organic Keywords” report. Click on “View Keywords” followed by exporting the keywords into another spreadsheet. Repeat this process for the rest of your competitors URLs. With the use of a basic method along with a competitor spying tool that is powerful, by now you should have 1,000s of targeted keywords.

Find out competitors keywords using keysearch

The next step involves placing all these keywords together. Remove the duplicated ones and manually remove any unrelated ones. Once you have a final draft put these keywords into Keysearch and again let the tool calculate the KD score to see the strength of each keyword.

To do this go to the “Keyword Research” tab. Click on the “Import Keyword List”, then paste all the collected keywords and allow the software to work its magic.

Spying on competitors is an effective strategy. Yet the drawbacks linked to this technique has to do with the generation of many unrelated keywords. This is presuming that every website is in someway aiming at different keyword-sets at certain levels.

In the “Explorer” tab look to the top-left of the dashboard and you will see “Score to Target” and “Domain Strength” reports.

This feature is extremely useful because you are given information on the KD score of the targeted keyword that you choose, allowing you to evaluate the strength of your competitors. In addition, you can also place your domain here to compare vital off-page factors between yourself and your competitors.

How To Find Trending Topics, Niches And Keywords Using Keysearch

According to Internetlivestats, there are around 3.5 billion searches conducted daily through Google alone. And it is important to know that Google dominates the search engine-spaces with more than 85% market-share across the globe.

This means new keywords and queries are popping up constantly every day. If you are able to spot-on trending topics that many people talk about in a specific moment and then create quality videos or articles about these topics, you are able to tap into the untouched niche markets. And because the subjects are new and increasing, for a specified time-frame, the chances are high that very few people are writing about these topics. This increases your chances of appearing on the front page, almost instantly.

Keysearch also offers a built-in niche ideas finder feature which allows you to type in a keyword. The app then pulls data from Google, eBay, Amazon, YouTube and Bing.

As you start to skim through a few trending niche ideas and you have nothing in mind yet, the software also provides Google trends, Amazon movers products and Twitter trends, giving you a glimpse into potentially great niche ideas.
.

The “Niche Ideas Generator” feature can be used for free even when you are not yet a registered user. Scroll to the bottom of the website and click on the link in order to use this handy feature.

How to Find LSI Keywords Using Content Assistant Feature

Using the 3 methods for finding related keywords that I discussed above, you should be able to compile a massive keyword list of low competition niche keywords.

However, Keysearch has gone even further than that. They offer the 'Content Assistant' feature' which is a very powerful tool that helps you find even more LSI keywords.

Each person has their own words and expressions to describe the same things. For example, if you see an attractive woman you might refer to her as beautiful, while your friend might say she is pretty or stunning or use some other words to describe her.

The LSI keyword generator tool is very useful here since it reflects the way that people describe things in a more natural way and is not too limited by using the same keyword phrases repeatedly.

The 'Content Assistant' looks at the top results for your targeted keyword. Then the software analyzes the content and provides you with a report that shows you which keywords and keyword phrases are used in these articles. These LSI keywords are ones you should consider adding into your article also.

Keysearch Chrome and Firefox Extension

Keysearch is a cloud based type of software. It isn't necessary to install anything on your computer. All you need to do is log in via your browser and you are ready to go. In addition to its cloud based keyword competitor services, the tool provides its Chrome and Firefox add-on. You can go here to add them to your web browser:

keysearch api keyword competition difficulty chrome extension

An API is required for the add-on difficulty checker to work. It basically follows the same fundamentals that the main difficulty checker feature does. However, I have seen quite often that the add-on feature delivers slightly different KD scores and SERP results. So it is good to have the add-on to double check how competitive our targeted keywords are.

My List Feature

Whenever you perform comprehensive keyword research, hundreds or thousands of keywords will need to be managed and categorized. The 'My List' feature allows you to do that. The functionality and user interface are very self explanatory and easy to use. You need to put the same categories of keywords into the same list. It is that simple.

The feature will allow you to export your keyword report into either pdf or csv format. Your lists can also be merged. Your desired keywords can also be sent to the Keysearch keyword tracking feature.

Using Keysearch To Conduct Competitor Analysis

You just completed the keyword research process. Now it is time to analyze your competitors with some more in-depth details. The 'Competitive Analysis' and 'Explorer' are features that can help you achieve this.

Go to the 'Explorer' tab. Enter in your competitor's URL, choose the 'Entire Domain' option and then click on the search button.

We used this feature before during the previous step to determine what keywords the competition was using. However, now we will be using it to check the off-page SEO factors.

On the dashboard you will see the backlinks report of your competitors.

  • It will tell you how many referring domains they have.
  • The number of no-follow and do-follow backlinks.
  • Information on their referring IPs.
  • You can inspect their top referring domains and top competitors.
  • You will know what their ranking distributions are and how well their websites are performing.
  • You will be given information on their top anchor texts.

Once you have all of these off-page factors, you can start to evaluate how strong your competitors are. You will know how many backlinks they have obtained so far. And how much you need to have these same factors so that you can add them to your own strategy to outperform them.

Competitor website analysis backlink anchor text using Keysearch

By investigating your competitors' backlinks, you will also be able to find guest post outreach opportunities as well.  You may find established websites in your niche that will be happy to link back to your website if you use effective outreach strategies.

'Competitive Analysis' is the next features.  It has 5 modules:

  • Backlink Checker
  • Organic Keyword
  • Competitor Gap
  • URL Metrics
  • Page Analyzer

I started with the first module which is the 'Backlink Checker.' Within seconds, you will receive the backlinks report. It is basically the same information that we saw in the 'Explorer,' but with more details on each backlink. From the dashboard, you can export the report in csv, excel or pdf format.

As I said before, the two most powerful software programs that can yield great data sets of backlinks and keywords are Ahref and SEMrush. So the backlink analysis report that is provided by Keysearch is just a small piece of the big picture.

However, having meaningful data is still a lot better than not knowing anything at all. The 'Competitive Analysis' feature is all about off-page factors. What we want to do in the first place is look for low competition keywords that we can get ranked through tweaking and optimizing the on-page factors. So on-page and low competition keywords are the first things that we focus on, while off-page metrics that we receive from the software are minor elements for now in our situation.

Keysearch competitive analysis backlink checker

The next module is the 'Competitor Gap' feature. It allows you to compare the targeted site versus your own website (or another website). The software analyzes a set of keywords that the targeted site ranks for, while the other one doesn't rank for. This feature allows you to see what keywords you are missing out on. You can do proper content strategy in order to improve your position.

'URL Metrics' is the next module. All you need to do is enter your competitors' URLs in, as well as your own. You will then be given a bird's eye view of the key metrics of these websites.

You will receive the following information;

  • Page Authority
  • Domain Authority
  • Domain Strength
  • MOZ Rank
  • Number of Total banklinks
  • Alexa Rank
  • Estimated traffic of that website
  • Keywords that website get ranked for.
  • Social media sharing metrics. (Facebook and Pinterest stats)

The next module is 'Page Analyzer'

The focus of this module is on-page factors. After the targeted URL is entered in, the software scrapes the information and provides you with tons of information on the on-page metrics. It will provide a website score which suggests how strong the domain is, based on a calculation of the on-page factors.

You will receive a report on:

  • Website's meta data properties including title, heading, images, Text/HTML Ratio, etc.
  • SEO links and anchor text report.
  • SEO Keywords report about the consistency of its content, title, description, headings.
  • Your website usability report.
  • Mobile optimization report.
  • Page speed insights.
Keysearch on Page Analyzer feature

By obtaining this key information on the on-page factors from the report will allow you to improve any technical issues ad revise your own articles to make them more effective in the search engines' eyes.

Keysearch – Daily Rank Tracking Feature

We have now done all of the important parts of the process. We started by doing research, then published our articles that targeted low competition level keywords.

The next critical step is to monitor how well our website is performing with the selected keywords. Using a solid rank tracking software will let us do this job. And using this type of service isn't cheap. Online keyword rank tracker is a very robust machine that will be too expensive if you are just a small team or solo entrepreneur.

However, if you purchase any of he paid Keysearch plans, you will get its daily rank tracking feature included in your plan. So that is a real steal offer.

Keysearch online keyword daily rank tracker

To check keyword ranking, go to the 'Rank Tracking' tab. Then add in the URL and desired keywords. Let the software process your request for a couple of minutes and you will receive the report. It is very simple and extremely easy to use the competition rank tracker feature.

There is a quota in terms of the number of keywords you can track, depending on which plan you choose. After you outgrow your quota, you can purchase an add-on package to raise your limit and be able to add more keywords to track.

Youtube Keyword Finder and Analysis Feature

Every day, over 1 billion people watch videos on Youtube. It generates around 5 billion video views every day. Youtube is the largest video website and the second largest search engine, after Google, it's owner. Having your videos on Youtube is a must these days.

The problem is there are no comprehensive YouTube analysis tools that can help you find good ideas for Youtube, or to look for potential keywords inside of the video engine platform. However, the Keysearch developers have created their 'Youtube Research' feature which offers many interesting points to analyze your competitors on the Youtube platform.

This feature works similar to how its main keyword difficulty (KD) calculator tool does. However, it only pulls the top 10 results from Youtube instead.

After you type in your query, choose your location and select your data sources. You will then be provided with a list of related keywords on the right panel. You can then let the machine calculate the KD scores for these keywords.

On the left panel, there is a report on the top 10 videos that are related to your targeted keyword. The software shows you the following key points:

  • Age of the video.
  • Number of views, like, dislikes and comments.
  • The title match, and description match. If it's a simple blog post, these metrics are the on-page metrics.

By reviewing the above information, you'll get an idea of how difficult it will be to create your own video to beat your competitors.

Ideally, using the Keysearch 'Youtube Research' feature will help you easily find some potentially low competition keywords. However, based on my personal experience so far things don't always work that way.

Based on my understanding, the software uses Youtube's API to generate the results and to give you a set of suggested keywords. So these are the extremely popular keywords, and it is very difficult if you want to target those phases. See the picture below, to get an idea of how hard the Youtube keyword research process really is.

Keysearch Youtube Keyword Finder and Analysis

The other way to make this work is to collect the same amount of keywords from other databases. Those databases are included in the software already and we have used them before with our seed keyword research technique. You can then plug your list of collected keywords into the software. Doing it this way should give you more potential keyword choices.

If you compare the KD scores of the same keywords, quite often the Youtube SEO is much harder compared to the article SEO. Please look at the picture below to get an idea of what I mean.

Different Approaches To Finding Youtube Ideas

When conducting keyword research to use for your website, the ideal method is to target low competition keywords. This does work very well. However, the issue with low competition keywords is that they usually have very low search volume on a monthly basis as well. Therefore, if you were to apply the same keyword research methodology to Youtube SEO it may not be worth the time and money.

The cost of creating high quality videos is a lot more expensive compared to publishing a simple blog post. Video production includes filming, editing, hiring a professional announcer, etc. It is fairly expensive.

So obviously it isn't worth your time and money to just focus on low competitive and low search volume keywords. Even if you are able to do all of the video production process yourself, it is still a very time consuming operation.

My preferred approach to doing Youtube SEO is, I target high volume keywords instead. Although it is harder to get them to rank, there are practical strategies that can be used to achieve the goal. The method of getting your videos ranking high on Youtube is beyond the scope of this article, so I will have to skip it here.

The key thing that I would like to point out here is that the Keysearch 'Youtube Research' feature is useful. It provides you with some important insight and information. But it might not be worth your time to aim at low low search volume when doing Youtube SEO.

Keysearch Pros and Cons

pROS

  • Keysearch offers a number of keyword databases, including Keyword Planner, Keysearch Database, Google Suggest, Bing Suggest, Amazon Suggest, Competitors Keywords, and Google Related Keyword. You can get a lot of related keywords generated by using these databases.
  • Keysearch is a cloud based software, so calculating the keyword difficulty score (KD) is super fast. Normally, it takes a few seconds to calculate keyword scores one by one. If you choose to use the bulk keyword difficulty checking process, it will take a bit longer for the program to process your inputs.
  • The Keysearch dashboard has a user friendly UI. If you know how to do keyword research, it will take you less than one day to get used to using it.
  • All of the paid plans include the online rank tracking feature. This feature alone is worth your money and will save you a lot.
  • You can spy on your competitors to see their keywords and key SEO metrics by using the 'Explorer' and 'Competitive Analysis' features.
  • Keysearch has a very unique 'Youtube Research' feature. The other leading KD tools like Long Tail Pro Platinum and Kwfinder don't provide this feature.

cons

  • The daily quota can be frustrating at times. When you are conducting comprehensive keyword research the quota is too limited and a waste of time to have to wait for it to reset in the next 24 hour period.
  • If we were able to choose a monthly quote instead of a daily quota, it would be much better. That is because we don't need to do keyword research every day. So the quota would not get wasted and would be a lot more flexible and we could adjust it to our schedule.
  • There are times when the quota is not enough. There should be the option to buy the add-on quota as a one-time purchase.
  • The keyword database is still very small compared to Ahrefs and SEMrush.

Keysearch Free Account & Discount Coupon Code

Keysearch has a free plan where you can use the software forever without paying anything. There are limited quotas and features on the free account. Even if you're not considered purchasing the software. I still recommend to create a free account.

As I wrote before, the most reliable KD software programs in the market right now are Keysearch, Long Tail Pro Platinum and Kwfinder. And I have an account for all of them. I have a paid plan on Keysearch and Long Tail Pro Platinum and I use a free version of Kwfinder.

The reason for that is because there are times when you need to recheck the KD scores on some keywords that you still can't make a decision on and you will need more insight from different keyword tools to help you solve this problem.

Final Thought

Keysearch is a Swiss army knife tool if you're looking for an excellent all-in-one SEO software. The application offers various features of professional level SEO tool yet keeping their pricing affordable for your pocket.

Choosing the appropriate KD software is vital decision. As long as you have your website(s) online, you're hardly live without it. And Keysearch is one of the right SEO software that will worth your consideration and your money. Just give it a try.
